Derwent Jacket

Sale price Price £249.00 Regular price

Description

The Derwent Jacket offers a relaxed look and feel. It features charming trim and details that convey the discerning character and taste of its wearer.

The Derwent, named after the river whose flow powered the might of Derbyshire’s cotton mills throughout Britain’s industrial revolution, draws upon earlier sources of inspiration for SJC and is made for the closing months of Summer ‘19 in two exclusive and distinct cotton weaves.

Seen here with the Derwent Waistcoat and Derwent Trouser.

Note: We at SJC love to mix & match! If you want to combine any Arkwright or Derwent piece together, then we implore you to do so.

Features

  • Herringbone taped seams
  • Small ‘ticket’ pocket
  • 3-button

Simon's Notes

The brown cloth seen here is our own Vaugan stripe, made by us from 100% cotton. See chocolate and cream stripes set on a dark brown backdrop - the weave is dense, offering a fine texture and smooth ‘hand feel’. It is 16oz in weight, so heavier than you might expect and is hard wearing, low maintenance and can be depended upon for regular wear.

The grey cloth seen here is our own chambray open-weave with a Cabernet stripe. A vista of colours and textures upon close inspection, the weave blends into mild grey tones and the texture softens when observed from afar. It’s 16oz in weight, and much like the Vaugan stripe is satisfyingly heavy and perfect for everyday wear.
